This setup gives you everything you need to start hauling gear—two 49" Vortex crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit. The aluminum bars provide strong support for up to 165 lbs of cargo (always stay within your vehicle’s maximum roof load). Whether you’re loading kayaks, luggage, or camping gear, the sturdy construction keeps everything stable mile after mile.
No one wants a constant whistle overhead during highway drives. The aero-style crossbars are shaped to help air move smoothly across the roof. The rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels fill gaps that can cause drag and vibration, so the ride stays quieter and more comfortable even when the rack is empty.
From cargo boxes to bike racks, these bars give you options. The top channels accept channel-mount accessories, and the outer bar shape works with clamp-on mounts too. That flexibility means you can mix brands and swap gear as your adventures change through the seasons—no extra tools or special hardware required.
Integrated plastic locks in the crossbars help deter theft of channel-mount accessories, and lockable cover plates on the legs secure the rack itself to your roof. For added peace of mind, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 – sold separately) that match across all points for a solid one-key setup.
The black aluminum crossbars are built for long-term use without adding much weight. Each component is backed with Rhino-Rack’s coverage—limited lifetime for the crossbars, five years for the legs and fit kit—so you can keep hauling gear year after year knowing it’s designed to handle real-world trips and weather.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
